Brighten up your entry, living room, or patio with festive seasonal pillow shams! You can mix and match patterns and sizes!
Measure your existing pillows from stitched seam to stitched seam across the top and down one side to determine the size sham needed. Your existing pillows bought at retail stores will fit very snuggly into the sham. The shams are sewn in the envelope style. There are no buttons, zippers, or snaps.
Remember when inserting the pillow into the sham, get the corners of the pillows into the corners of the sham as much as possible. Then shake it up a bit until it fits snuggly/evenly all around. Also, make sure the inside flap is lying straight.
If you currently do not have a pillow that would fit any of these sizes, the pillow inserts can be purchased at Hobby Lobby, or Joann's. For an even fuller fit, I would suggest getting an insert larger than the sham, i.e. a 20 x 20 insert for an 18 x 18 sham. Shams made of cotton/flannel is washable for easy care. Just wash, iron, fold, and to be used again the following year. For the shams made from Home Décor/light upholstery fabric, you may want to wash then hang dry or dry clean.
